Every year, Societe Generale’s CSR achievements are subject to extra-financial reporting, verified by statutory auditors. The Group’s CSR approach is also evaluated by extra-financial ratings agencies. These ratings help the bank to benchmark its efforts compared to its peers.
What are extra-financial ratings?
The extra-financial rating is an evaluation of the company based on criteria other than just financial performance: respect for the environment, social and societal values, etc.
In 2018, our extra-financial rating on economic, environmental and social measures was higher than the average for the banking sector, allowing Societe Generale to be in the first quartile of the rankings mentioned below.
